Ben Briney
Camp Director, Head Volleyball Coach
Ben Briney will begin his 5th season as head coach. He has lead the team to a 96-42 record. The team has been nationally ranked for 36 weeks, including two weeks in the Top Ten, and three trips to the NCAA tournament during his tenure. Briney also coached the school’s second AVCA National Freshman of the Year and only 4x All American., Megan Sharpe.
As head coach Briney has coach 22 All-MIAA award winners, two MIAA Freshman of the Year, and has had a player earn All-American every year. During his time as an assistant the Bulldogs went 137-22, twice made the National Quarterfinals, and a trip to the National Semi-finals in 2008. Overall Briney has coached eight different players to 16 All-America Awards.
Megan Wargo-Kearney
Assistant Camp Director, Truman Assistant Coach
Megan Wargo-Kearney begins her fifth season as the assistant coach at Truman. Wargo assisted head coach Ben Briney in leading the Bulldogs to a 96-42 overall record and three NCAA tournament appearances.
Prior to her joining the Bulldog coaching staff in the fall of 2009, Wargo spent four seasons as the
assistant coach for both the women’s and men’s volleyball at Lees-McRae College, a Div. II institution located in Banner Elk, N.C. LMC reached the NCAA women’s tournament three times with Wargo serving as the program’s assistant and won three straight Conference Carolinas tournament championships. The Bobcat women’s program compiled a 101-46 record during her four-year tenure.
